Bend Test ::The bend test shall be performed in accordance with the requirements of IS :1599-1974* and the mendrel diameter shall be as specified in Table.The specimen shall be considered to have passed the test if there is no transverse crack in the bent portion.

Rebend test : The test piece shall be bent to an included angle of 135° using a mandrel of appropriate diameter.The bent piece shall be aged by keeping in boiling water (100°C) for 30 minutes and then allowed to cool.The piece shall then be bent back to have an included angle of 157 1/2°C.The specimen shall be considered to have passed the test if there is no fracture in the bent portion.
The diameter of the mandrel shall be as given below :
